Kind of small rural place not a lot of stores around but the owners, are really good people it's a really clean place.

I have always wondered why this motel isn't a focal point in this little town, especially since it's the only motel for miles. The owners truly are kind, generous, understanding, allowing (with a watchful eye, I'm sure) a small window for me to correc/contain my autistic 6 year old son and his never ending letting out of the dogs, dragging up sticks and rocks to "decorate"to decorate our doorway. They didn't mind us playing in the area behind the motel which was much needed space after a few days. I decided to switch from daily to weekly rate, he worked with me on the pricing due to my previous daily installments.. The weekly rate is extremely reasonable. The room I was rented was a bit crowded but retro feeling even though it appears that the room painter either ran out of border tape or just decided to freehand the design part of the way through the room. My description is going to sound absolutely terrible but please take into consideration that every issue was resolved within minutes of me bringing things to thier attention. I truly was grateful for this room, for the time we had to spend there. .Thank you to the owners for allowing us to have a bit of normalcy through the rough transition span. Was this place cleaned per COVID requirements? Absolutely not. Was it clean enough to feel comfortable kicking off my shoes and plopping down on the bed? Nope. No bulbs in lamps, kitchen light doesn't work, blinds are all broken. The floors OMG THE FLOORS.... were sticky nasty with a black residue came off onto my hand when I picked up my son's mess off the floor. I got my own mop and cleaners.Appliances are outdated but all work perfectly. The bathroom is not acceptable on clean and sanitary standards. The phone in the room has no cords or plugs. No clock of any kind. Maintenance does stay on site, very friendly and quick to fix whatever issue I brought to their attention. I have absolute faith that inspections will be a bit more diligent. There's a laundromat on site, an entire building up front with coin operated washers and dryers, normal capacity and one extra large capacity set. I do plan on coming back here. I apologize for the negativity, for the price, it's an excellent choice. Stop in, stay a while, enjoy the peaceful quiet hometown feel of our town that's full of easy smiles, excellent food, antique shops, boutiques, salons, freshly butchered and prepared meats at our large gas station, a GunSmithing shop, take a minute to delve into the incredible historical beginnings of this tiny community.

Should be a 5 star with the owner he is an amazing person me and my crew always stay here out of anywhere in Beaumont because of the customer appreciation we always get from here

We came here to stay to visit family from out of state. And these rooms are very cute and cozy and most importantly CLEAN. The people who run it are super friendly too. I definitely recommend staying here. And the rates are very good. First night we came here we stayed at the elegante in beaumont and I'm not just saying this because of the price but that place was a dump and 1 night there cost us what 3 nights here cost and this place is clean So it's not always all about you get what you pay for. We went to Beaumont first night because of bad rumors n bad reviews. Sad that ppl put such rubbish on the reviews because I didn't find any of it to be true here. So if you a place to stay dont pass this place up,even tho yes ik it's the only motel in sour lake it's a good one.

Owners are very kind. Respect them they'll respect you, common sense. Rooms are decent in size. Recommended if your in the area needing a room.

Love the service here. Great prices and amenities, I would stay here anytime. Clean and quiet rooms. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay. I lived here for 2 months and loved it. Very happy place to stay.

Location was good. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was small but the shower was ok, the spout was broken. The beds were comfortable. Fridge and microwave goid, the AC unit was a large window unit set in the wall...it was noisy.

Love this place. Its in my hometown and its got its own lite hideaway. Conveniently located just outside of town, close enough to be able to shop and yet just far enough out that its peaceful
